Here at dresscodediva, we have been debating whether we will
be wearing the trend of opaque tights and peeptoes in the winter. As a friend said to me, "you just can't
do it because you can hear your Mom's voice saying that well-brought-up girls
don't wear stockings and sandals!" I had even evesdropped on a conversation about
this that two ladies were having while trying on shoes at Woolies in OR Tambo. They wondered, was this trend only for young
girls? Only for skinny girls? Or could
they do it too?
What to do? We asked the members of our awesome bookclub to help us decide. All eight of us wore the look to our July get together with style and mixed reactions. The shimmery leopard print tights were my favourite of the night. As a realist with fairly large calves, I won't be investing in any patterned tights, but both ladies in prints carried it off extremely well. My Smurfette blue tights may never leave my wardrobe again, but - did warm to the look.
Decision: I will wear it.
Thanks Skimmers!

ReplyDeleteFrom TW: Well done!! Love it… thanks for voting mine you favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy significant other looked at me a little strangely but I like it (the trend, not him looking at me strangely!) It opens up new outfits for winter and it's a little bit of fun!
